Glenfiddich 18 years

The 12 years is available just anywhere one travels and I don't ever order it, found it thin an dull. This is another story entirely--full, rich, deep, long and complex--quite the opposite of the little brother. This is becoming my favourite Speyside malt. This bottle comes from friends visiting from the US, very very very good friend indeed. Thank you, Tom and Ah Lan.

i'll have to give it a try. i have vague memories of having had it before, but that's been years ago. as you know, i'll always be partial to the macallan, but my other favorite speyside to date is aberlour a'bunadh.

Yes, the Macallan is excellent but their 18yrs costs about 3 times as much as the Glenfiddich. My only problem with Macallan, any Macallan, is price. Haven't had the a'bunadh yet; cast strenght, isn't it? Very interesting.
